Many people think you can walk on to a freshman team and make it. For some sports, like football, you may have a chance. But other sports, like volleyball, baseball and softball you have a slim to none chance to make the team without prior experience. In fact, kids with experience even get cut in some of the topc programs. So make sure you do all you can do give yourself the best chance to make the high school team!
Elementary School
Never too Young to Start Planning
Start turning your kid into the strong athlete she dreams about starting NOW. We at FAM believe kids must love playing their sport first and foremost, it cannot be a parents dream for them. This program is about DEVELOPMENT & PARENT DECISIONS. We also believe it’s never too early to invest in your athlete’s future, but knowing the right path can be overwhelming. For example, maybe we need to add gymnastics to create most flexibility and balance or work on full body development for sports that have repeat motion, such as pitching. Our expert coaches are also here to guide you through decisions like choosing between local little league and expensive travel ball or whether to focus on development in the summer versus tournament play. We believe in building long-term relationships with young athletes, working together to unlock their full potential. Let’s see how far we can go, together!
CIF, Transfer, & Hardship Guidance
California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) rules guide all athletes playing high school sports in California. If you athlete will attempt to play at more than one school, especially at the VARSITY level, please do NOT make this choice without consulting the CIF rules first. Many kids end up sitting or missing an entire season because their parents didn't understand CIF guidelines. Our team of experts can guide your family through this decision making process whether it be one 30 minute brief consultation or assistance with drafting CIF documentation.
